After two and a half years of continuous blogging, Mouse is a little tired. And Mrs Mouse and the baby mice need more of Mouse's attention that he's been giving them lately.
So this Mouse is going to take a break.
I may be some time.

I shall miss you Mouse, just won't be the same without you!
ReplyDeleteHave a good break. But I hope the allusion to Captain Oates' last words doesn't mean that you won't be back.
ReplyDeleteYour wisdom has been welcome, so thank you for it. - But you should certainly maximise on the time you spend with your baby-mice. They don't stay babies for long!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Mouse, you deserve a break.
ReplyDeleteBaby mice are not babies for long.
I've been thinking down similar lines recently.
Could you perhaps blog intermittently rather than continuously?
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your thoughts, wisdom and information.
I echo what Peter Kirk said. I must be almost your newest fan but already find myself wondering what your take is on each issue concerning the Church. I shall miss you too - and hope that the keen autumn air of 'la rentree' might bring you back online?
ReplyDeleteThank you also for the gentle nudge you gave me.
well done for the 2.5 years, you have been amusing & informative in equal & regular doses.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the mouselings
Quite understand sir, family should come before internets.
ReplyDeleteHave really enjoyed the blog and look forward to its return.
Will miss your persistence & attention to detail on the big and small stuff of church life.
ReplyDeleteBut family comes first.
Hope to see you blogging again when life permits.
will miss your blog, Mouse. Enjoy your blog-cation and your family
ReplyDeleteA wee squeak from time to time would be appreciated ... but baby mice and Mrs Mouse must take priority.... will miss you.
ReplyDeleteWhat they all said already!
ReplyDeleteAmen to all above!

ReplyDeleteGod bless all the mouses!
I trust you will still be tweeting on the issues of the day, even if you won't be blogging on them?
ReplyDeleteTricky decision Mouse, but well done for making it. Hope you can return before too long. best wishes to all. Dave
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wise decision; take space to enjoy the extra time with the family
ReplyDeleteDear Mouse;
ReplyDeleteIt is only right and a good thing to take a break from Blogging and to spend as much time as possible with Mistress Mouse and your mouselings.
Enjoy your time with your family - and I can only echo all the good wishes the others have already sent.
Regards
Sacristan
Perhaps the odd musing from the Mouse-house when time permits...
Have a great blog-cation. Will miss your posts but family more important.
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you, Mouse, but Mrs Mouse and the Baby Mice are your priority. Have a happy time!
ReplyDeleteMouse, good to see you take time out for family and just for yourself.
ReplyDeleteOff course you will be missed. Your input it valued by so many, just see the plaudits here.
I hope that you are able to resume when you are refreshed and feel able.
Well done good and faithful servant, enter now into the nest that has been prepared for you. With thanks.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time with the family. Hope you still pop in to see us occasionally.
ReplyDeleteIt's all been said. Mouse. Though I'm new to the blogging world, I always enjoy your take on things, so hope you feel like returning when the time is right. Meanwhile bonnes vacances and have fun with the family.
ReplyDeleteI shall miss you, but your babies are extremely lucky to have a father who puts a leading blog on hold for their sakes.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Mouse.
Just make sure we all get to hear it when you finally return!
A brave decision, and one you take with the blessings and love of us all.
ReplyDeleteThe cheese awaits your return :)
God Bless, mate!
what a wise mouse you are! thanks for the reportage; enjoy the break!
ReplyDeleteDitto re the kids/rest etc. But please come back. I've come to rely on you!
ReplyDeleteT'internet won't be the same without you Mouse. I already feel less informed. You'll be missed.
ReplyDeleteMouse will leave a big mouse hole behind! Peace be with you.
ReplyDeleteI entirely agree with the majority view here that you must a) spend quality time with the Mrs and the mouselings (and ENJOY!!!) but b) that you must not be a stranger and pop back from time to time.
ReplyDeleteIs this just a ploy by Dave Walker to boost his chances of winning at the new media awards?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break mouse, you'll be welcome back anytime.
Fancy a cup of off-line coffee Mouse? Andrew@churchandmedia.net
ReplyDeleteYou'll be missed.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the blog-cation. (Me, I'm thinking of going on a silent retweet.)
ReplyDeleteAll the best, all this internet stuff is time consuming. As somebody whom has been 'doing' since 2006, you realise there has to be a balance. 'Real' has to come first, and I hope all goes well with family and work life. :D
ReplyDeleteMouse, make sure you get a real break with your family. Take them away to a summer mouseparty and have a mice time!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, we'll miss your comment, wisdom and humerous insights. (Does this mean the ecclesiastical powers that be have less to fear now?)
When you're ready to return, I guess most of us will still be here and will welcome you back with open arms. It will impossible to forget you, as each time we grab that little critter on the desk, next to the PC, our mouse will remind us of you!
PS: If you come to Greenbelt, please be sure to come along to the Social Media Surgery and say hello!
I know this is the right decision,a wise mouse puts his family first. I do hope to hear a little squeak from time to time though.
ReplyDeleteThank you mouse, for all your wise comments. I second all the comments made so far. I always wonder "what mouse has to say" about things.
ReplyDeleteHave a good break with Mrs Mouse and the mouselings,
Cetti x
Dear Mouse, is blogging all or nothing? What about a weekly mouse-bulletin? Anyhow, thank you for the excellence. I will look forward to your future return, though I know not the day or the hour.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog Mouse - hope to see you somewhere in cyberspace soon. I love it when Christian bloggers are clear about real life priorities. I wish you and the family God's blessings.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Charlie on this one... :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the much-needed break, but will miss you, CM.
ReplyDeleteMethodist Minister (WEsley) says enjoy your break ...when are you going off line ...is someone taking over from you perhaps Church Dove?
ReplyDeleteI miss you!
