Oldest bible available online

The earliest surviving bible is the 1,600 year old Codex Sinaiticus manuscript. It contains about 1,460 pages and survived in remarkable condition in a monastery in the Sinai desert. It had been worked on by scholars in the UK, Germany, Egypt and Russia since the manuscript was found in 1844, but it is now available online for anyone to study. Around half the document can be seen on the website.

Mouse was surprised just what an emotional impact seeing a 1,600 year old bible has, even though he can't understand a word of it, and hopes that new insights will be found from this unique document.
